James is a clinically licensed marriage and family therapist (LCMFT) who provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy for individuals, couples, and families. With over 16 years of experience in the mental health field—including more than a decade in private practice—James brings depth, perspective, and steady guidance to his work with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
James is passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges, overcome adversity, and recognize their strengths. He believes healing begins with hope and works collaboratively with clients to create meaningful change and a renewed vision for their future.
James earned his bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Emporia State University, where he was a four-year student-athlete playing baseball for the Hornets. He later completed his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Friends University. James is Gottman-trained and SYMBIS certified, as well as certified in PREPARE/ENRICH premarital education, allowing him to support couples in building strong, healthy, and lasting relationships.
